9th AUgust 2010:Today I went to visit 5 months old Hugo aka Mr Stubbs from Ginger x Fender. He is sooooooooo gorgeous and has the most wonderful home. Thanks to Jess and Tom for being fabulous and loving him like crazy.

I have lots of news and pictures to add shortly: I have been to Europe and was lucky enough to attend the World Dog Show in Denmark where 280 beautiful berners were exhibited. I was asked to handle Swedish Champion Berntiers Imagine 'Gina' in the Open Bitch class (Thanks Eva! It was great :) Gina is an exceptionally beautiful girl and the 'Most Winning Female' in Sweden in 2009, 2 of her kennel mates came 3rd and 4th in a huge Open class it was so exciting! I missed my dogs terribly but my parents held the fort beautifully and spoilt the dogs while Luke and I were away. I met so many great people and saw Tanner and Ginger's breeders and relatives of all my dogs. The hospitality we recieved in Europe especially from Eva and Stefan at Berntiers was wonderful, we can't wait to give it back! The day we flew home we went to a Bernese Specialty in Goteberg Sweden and it was worth almost missing our plane to Frankfurt to go. Our friends Eva and Inger won Best Female and CAC with Berntiers Irresistible 'Bella' and Eva won 2nd Best male and CAC with her new visitor Am Ch Sunshine's Arctic Star 'Hunter'
Hunter new Swedish Champion! and Beautiful Bella one more CAC and she will be a Swedish Champion. Here is a photo of Gorgeous baby Berntiers Rock Me 'Rocky' she stole our hearts and even climbed in my bag.......I took this to mean I could keep her but unfortunately Eva did not agree ; )
Before I left I went to Victoria to the BMDCV Specialty, the Judge was Satu Yla Mononen a well respected BMD breeder judge from Finland. Sugar was Best Neuter in Show......but Best of all Angus' daughter Pingu (Malicloy Against All Odds) was Reserve Challenge in a huge and competitive entry of quality bitches!!!!

9th May 2010:Happy Birthday to my darling naughty girl Gingita Banana! Ginger is 2 today. Happy Birthday to all the Berntiers L litter in Europe. 3rd May 2010:Here is Ginger and Fender's gorgeous son Hugo with his friend George the Border Collie. That bed looks super comfy! 2nd May 2010:We have a visitor.......baby Sunny has come for a holiday from Melbourne to learn how to be a show off! She has fit in so easily with my crew and is practicing being a show dog, she is learning 'attitude' from the best show offs in town : D
19th April 2010:A year ago this week when Suggy had just turned 3 we thought we would lose her she was so sick the vet's recommended letting her go. We couldn't bear to lose our girl so we let them try an operation that at best might give us a few more days or weeks with her...... well 12 months later it appears the vets were wrong. Sugar is now 4 years old and healthy as a horse even the vets can't believe it, I hope we will have her with us for many, many more years. 18th April 2010:A HUGE Happy 8th Birthday to our Gemma girl, she can still run as fast as ever, the only sign she is getting older is a hint of grey in her eyebrows. Happy Birthday Hubbas!!! 10th February 2010:Happy 4th Birthday to our darling Sugar Penelope (aka poops) -Love you pooey! xxx 22nd January 2010:Here are some pics of 3 of my gorgeous girls on Christmas day 2009. We wish all the Best to you all and your Berners in 2010. Here's hoping we have some good luck in 2010 and maybe we will even hear the pitter patter of baby Berner paws. If i am really well behaved I might even be able to squeeze in a trip over seas to visit a dog show!!!
December has some good news for us with 2 more of Angus' babies being xrayed with great results. Malicloy Against All Odds- Hips 3:3 Elbows 0:0 Malicloy Aint Misbehavin- Hips 2:3 Elbows 0:0 This month our big mama Tanner turned 3 on 18th December. Happy Birthday Captain Timmy! 13th December 2009:Here is Angus and Hailey's daughter Pingu (Malicloy Against All Odds) at 12 months old winning Best Of Breed. Bred by Ben and Holly Taylor.
Here (below) is Angus and Dakota's 10 month old son Swisskiss Jumanji aka Boston who lives in Melbourne....he looks so much like his daddy!!!! |
